LED - Light Emitting Diode Technology

The beneficial effects of the LED have been well documented over the last 20-30 years. Dermatology heads the list of medical disciplines interested in Chromatherapy since a L.E.D. is able to stimulate the body's own cell regeneration. Special cells convert the light energy into chemical energy, therefore increasing the naturally ocurring healing mechanisms of the skin.

RED Light:
NASA have recently conducted studies on the use of Red Light for the enhancement of cell growth and found that the application of Red LED light incresead fibroblastic activity and enhanced DNA synthesis. NASA's studies were followed by research at Medical College of Wisconsin where it was demonstrated that RED Light significantly enhanced and accelerated wound healing.
RED Light benefits:
-Increases lymphatic flow, stimulates cell metabolism and increases synthesis of proteins
-Stimulating: speeds up cell regeneration and wound healing
-Increases circulation
-Stimulates collagen production
BLUE Light:
The American Academy of Dermatology has reported that Blue Light can be used to destroy the bacteria that produces inflamation associated with propionobacterium acnes.
Researchers at Cornell University have also discovered that applying Blue Light resets the body's internal clock, concluding that this could be useful for the treatment of jet lag and sleep disturbances that often accompany shift work.
L.E.D. stimulation using Blue Light results in a constrictive action on cappilary walls reducing redness giving a calming, anti-irritation effect. L.E.D. also has a powerful antiseptic action useful to kill bacteria associated with acne. The anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain relief) action has been well documented, making a Blue L.E.D. application particularly beneficial for the treatment of acne.
BLUE Light benefits:
-Soothing and Calming
-Relaxing, anti-itching, anti-irritation and anti-stress
-Anti-septic and anti-bacterial
-Cools down inflammation such as arthritis and rheumatism
-Kills acne bacteria
